as the sun becomes visible along the shore
mirror reflections expand across the sea
figures emerge as shadowy outlines
resembling mental allusions set free

while gazing at floating clouds
thoughts soar effortlessly skyward
images appear as though drawn by God’s hand
stretching imagination upward and outward

throughout the early morning hours
flashbacks recur intermittently
dreams seem real from the night before
becoming too quickly a brief memory

during anxious or stressful moments
daydreams offer a calming mentality
ideas materialize into prospects
bringing thoughts back to reality

when eyes close in peaceful accord
pictures snapped flip through the mind
visions surface like exposed images
reliving memories as thoughts unwind
