Being on vacation, visiting family, and celebrating my birthday have delayed some of my postings. Since the fall equinox and harvest moon are both monumental seasonal events they must NOT go unnoticed even though their official dates have passed.

It is the summer’s great last heat,
It is the fall’s first chill: They meet. What lovely poetry!
Incredibly beautiful. Thanks for uplifting my day! ~ Peggy
I can see the man on that great red sphere, but can he see me?
it is a special time of year. Today, even here in Pensacola, Florida where the weather is warm, the morning air is full with the first cool breezes of Fall. I wish it would stay this way for at least half of the year!
You are not that far from me:>) Use to live in Panama City Beach (30 years), now about 2 1/2 hours north in Georgia. Have family in Pensacola! Me, too, on wanting this season to linger around for awhile. I love autumn!
I wish I could give you an award for the best blog photo of the month. This harvest moon shot just says it all. Well done! – Bob
Well, I wish I could make claim as the photographer. I did have the experience of seeing a harvest moon once when traveling to Jacksonville, FL. There is just no way to effectively descibe it other than we crossed a bridge and all of a sudden the golden moon seemed to fill the sky in front of us as though it was inviting us to step upon its surface. It was absolutely breathtaking. Of course, there was no camera on hand:>(
Stunning!
My favorite of all the moon’s phases and colors in the incredibly beautiful and large Harvest Moon. Thx for showing us a picture.
Wonderful picture, love it . I watch it rise like that over the sea outside our house. It’s always moving and mysterious and utterly beautiful…
