Television – entertainment for the home BUT not without commercials! How producers come up with the zany ideas they do is beyond me. Do you find it interesting how the most stupid commercials are those most remembered? Are such antics truly indicative of average human being behavior? They do make one wonder!

My favourite TV shows were Rin Tin Tin, Circus Boy, Fury, and The Mickey Mouse Club. My favourite parts of the Mickey Mouse Club were Corky and White Shadow, and Spin and Marty. LOL now that’s really showing my age 🙂
We had a TV like that, but I think even smaller!
I remember all the products we had growing up. Some are still with us. Nestle’s Quick, Ovaltine & Hershey’s chocolate were all regulars in our home. We drank Tang & Koolaid as well. Coke came in small bottles and cost a nickel. We had refrigerated chests that dispensed the bottles by sliding them along a rack with the release gate working after you put in your nickel. Popsicles were 2 cents and fudgesicles were 3 cents. Remember twin pops & dreamsicles?
I was ten years old when we got our first TV–small screen in a huge cabinet. I lovedd watching “Lights Out’ and the six o’clock cinima with cowboy movies. Overall, life was easier then.
I remember watching black and white when I was a small child… but then it got better – and I ALWAYS liked Tom and Jerry… as soon as I saw them the first time. 🙂
