Remember our soldiers
Whether here or far away
Keep them in your hearts
Throughout the night and day

Remember our soldiers
On land, in the air, or at sea
They sacrifice daily
In the name of liberty

Sharla Shults‘s insight:

While celebrating during the Christmas season
Always remember those away from home
Keep them in your hearts, cherish them in your soul
A day may come when you find yourself alone

  1. My granddaughter’s boyfriend is here for the holidays on furlough from the Navy. His deployment (submarine) starts in January and he’ll be gone for 3 months … underwater and out of touch. Nice to have him around.

  2. What a wonderful post, Sharla. I wanted to let you know of a ministry, in case you have not heard of it. It is called Mail for Heroes. My kids and I took part in it. You write Christmas cards to unknown soldiers, and they are mailed out all over the world to our soldiers in hospitals and bases everywhere!!! I would write them out, and my kids would decorate them. We plan to write all year this year so we will have many to send next year. If you are interested, you can go to my devotional blog and search under Mail for Heroes and find out all the information!! They do so much for us, especially at Christmas we should let them know how thankful we are!! Love you!! Merry Christmas, Sweet Friend!!
