Misty Morning Fog

Early Morning 11/02/2013

Images appear subdued
Amidst the dense, pesky fog
Softly kissed by stratus clouds
Disturbed by a croaking frog

Figures in the far distance
Emit varying shadowy hues
A feel so melancholy
Reminiscent of ol’ country blues

The highest peak of a mountain
Enshrouded within the thick fog’s bed
Converges with the sky’s splendor
Striking patterns of gray overhead

Just a mere touch of fog
Steamy haze in view
Evokes mystical thoughts
Chilling through and through

Silhouettes against a blue sky’s backdrop
Endure nature’s transformation
Misty morning fog amid dawn’s glory
An object of fascination

From the sky to the terrain
Trickling rays of sunlight drift
Transparency emerges
As the fog slowly lifts

Few images of American history pose pure masculinity like the cowboy. His rugged, heroic bravery stood tall in the saddle as he headed across dangerous territory facing nature’s sprawling, treeless plains and humanity’s outlaws. He donned a cowboy hat, spurs, and boots proudly laced with both humility and a sense of arrogance.

Halloween: Stories of ghosts, goblins and ghouls monopolize the setting as the movie makers try to outdo one another with scenes of blood and gore. I often wonder how many bottles of ketchup (or similar fake blood) are wasted as Dracula feeds upon his victims, the Werewolf mauls his prey beyond recognition or Freddy Krueger uses a glove armed with razors to kill his victims in their dreams.

ANOTHER INVITATION FOR YOU!

WOW! When it rains it pours and often brings sunshine with smiles instead of thunder amid clouds. Of course, a little bit of thunder does bring on excitement so today I am thundering as I extend to all my family and friends another invitation.
