You know, the world is a beautiful place. What the US and Canada have in common is a great expanse of un-developed fertile land and natural resources. We can breathe freely (so far) whereas countries like India and China are crammed – harder to breathe for real and yet still beautiful in their own unique way. I have never been to Alberta but have been to Eastern Canada and it is awesome too. I have it on my list to go to New Foundland which may be the most beautiful of all the provinces. 🙂 I love my home country.

Micki, it is so sad to hear any American feel that way but unfortunately it is happening quite frequently. I just read Cherrye’s post about Overhaul. Everything she wrote needed to be said but more than that it needs to be heeded! Such feelings, yours and Cherrye’s, are the very premise behind my writing Awakenings!
I love Canada. I live about three hours from Montreal and go as often as possible. For vacation this year, we drove along the sea to sky highway, starting in Vancouver. Stopped many places to hike–magnificent!
Hubby and I are planning a cruise for our 30th anniversary in 2014. Hoping to travel cross country to Washington and take a cruise to Alaska. Vancouver would definitely be on the itinerary:>)
