i wonder how many Americans have read this brilliant document. It really is an astonishing piece of legal writing. We are so very lucky our founding fathers were so very smart!
Sadly, I would dare say not very many know anything beyond the first three words! And even then, do they fully understand the empowerment of just those three? Sad state of affairs is America! But, I will never give up on her nor would I rather be anywhere else. . .
I remember having to learn parts of it before graduating to the eigth grade if we didn’t we repeated seventh ..I don’t believe they even teach it now. Just like we had to learn about the presidents for presidents day now most kids can’t tell you who the first president was. I asked one of my grand sons friends who was the first and he answered with Abraham Lincoln, my g-son just rolled his eyes and gave a light punch to his friends shoulder and a nod towards the door. When I ask later why he did that his respons I didn’t want him to be embarassd so I told him outside. now if he cold teach his grammie how to spell…. sigh
Times they have changed and not so much for the better, especially education wise!
