This Day in History: October 26, 1881
Cowboys, Tombstone and Wyatt Earp were destined to collide and by the spring of 1881, it was apparent they were already on that collision course. The most famous gunfight showdown in history featured thirty shots fired in thirty seconds that left three cowboys dead along with Virgil and Morgan Earp wounded.

Good one. Great photo!
Thank you for telling me. How could I have been unaware of this important occasion? This is definitely a national holiday-quality historical event. We could declare it “Gun Nut Day” and all the gun crazed could shoot each other without fear of retribution. We could have arenas dedicated to the event … televise them, make billions and rerun them endless forever. Live slaughter on teebee!! Holy moly!
Holy moly, Marilyn! Let’s put all the politicians in the arena and clean up this mess we have in America!
Love it!
OMG.
Would have loved to have been there.
I love the sepia toned photo, what is he looking at and thinking?
Does make one wonder, doesn’t it?
