Poets from around the world… A Soldier’s Christmas Poem
posted December 4, 2012 by poetreecreations

I would like to dedicate this poem to those who have served in the past, presently serve, or will serve our military forces in the future. A profound appreciation is extended for the sacrifice of these brave men and women who left or will leave their homes and family to ensure America’s freedom endures.

A grave price is being paid every moment of every day of the year for all the freedom America has to offer. Let us not forget those who have fought or are fighting for our nation; they are the epitome of the human spirit called freedom!

I’ve reblogged the poem as it is definitely worthy of that

As a veteran I have mixed feelings about this photo. Where is the Easter Bunny? Santa is a man-made fictional character. The baby Jesus is not.

    Bless you for sharing this

  4. A sad photo when you think this soldier may be away from his family during the holidays when families belong together. But then they should always be together. Sacrafices are made for our freedom and I do appreciate living in the land of the free. Thanks Sharla.
