I’m a simpleton when it comes to cookies. I love cinnamon raisin oatmeal cookies with the recipe right off the back of the Quaker Oats package. I prefer chewy cookies to crumbly varieties. I want to thank you for making me terribly hungry for these cookies. Unfortunately as a diabetic I haven’t eaten one in years. I may be naughty for Christmas and eat one. 🙂

WOW! I haven’t thought about that recipe in years. . .I use to bake them a lot when the kids were growing up. Now that they are grown and gone I don’t do the baking like I use to. May be time to just get out the ol’ mixer and take it for a spin one more time. Thanks for bringing back a wonderful memory. BTW The Quaker Oats recipe is the best! Tried others and they just did not come up to par.

I used to bake a lot living by myself years ago. I never owned a mixer but rather made cookie recipes with a bowl and a good old fashioned wooden spoon. I still have both. 🙂

    Yummy.
    Why can’t we have here????

  3. I love them all. My mother was a wonderful baker. What I miss is meringue cookies with chocolate chips. They are like a puff of air in your mouth. I haven’t had one in twenty years. Then there are the wonderful macaroons, which are great with maraschino cherries added to them. However, I appreciate all because they are made from love.

Yikes, now I know what I forgot to get at the store–cookies supplies!! I’m only making my famous snowball cooies this year–I let my daughters take over the cookie making now with their kids–i put my time in lol.

  5. I don’t really bake cookies, but I eat them all flavors, shapes and sizes. Hmm. Oatmeal and raisin cookies in my pantry, I shall warm two. yum.
