Penny, you always bring on a smile without even knowing in advance that a simple word will bring on a most humorous memory. This time it is the ‘peach’. After college, I got a wild hair and took a cruise all by myself. My mom almost had a heart attack (not literally but you know what I mean). The last night there was a costume party and contest. Needless to say, I, along with everyone else, did not bring a costume on a cruise. So, what did I do? I took a pillow case, cut holes for the arms & legs, cinched it in at the top and stuffed it with whatever I could find. I had long hair at the time so I scrounged around and found green ribbon, piled my tresses high on my head and went as a Georgia Peach. I WON the trophy! What a hoot!
