Today, inspiration steers me toward sharing with you some of my catnipoflife poetry along with featuring awesome photography so graciously provided by Barbara Beacham @Life in the Foothills. If you have not visited Barbara’s blog, I encourage you to mosey on over right now! You will not be disappointed. In fact, you will probably leave as a new follower. As just a little insight into the awe of Life in the Foothills, the Best Moment Award was bestowed upon Barbara by catnipoflife just recently. Here is what I had (and still have) to say about Barbara Beacham:
Can you imagine Life in the Foothills? I can! after visiting Barb’s blog and her exceptional photography. With just one look, you will be hooked! She will draw you into the lowest valley one minute only to take you to the highest mountaintop the next. She will enlighten you with the wild side of the countryside!
Okay, Barb, you had just better get ready for a visitor one day! I want to experience what life is like living in the foothills! With life being so short and the fact that we only have ONE life to live, it is most befitting to simply LIVE IT! From the inner voice of catnip, “observe life at its best, listen to life’s songs, embrace life’s bounties, breathe the breath of life and savor life to its fullest!”
Follow Life’s Echo
Is it true a mountain echo
Resonates the cry of man
Swallowing up the lonely sound
Just to bring it back again?
Reflective in its harmony
Does the echo solemnly rest
On the ears of the crier
Who put it first to its test?
Mirrored in the background
Of this shrill, lonely sound
Incredible beauty exists
Sometimes lost, sometimes found
Each sunrise and every sunset
Capture life’s true mystery
Echoes of their glory and beauty
Intensify life’s living history
Take a long, panoramic look
Marvel as wonders abound
For the echoes of life
Stand stalwartly all around
Beautiful rainbows, exquisite stars
Embellish a magnificent sky
Revealing fragileness of life
Gone in the mere blink of an eye
Visit the awe-inspiring mountain
Remember to follow the echo
You have but one life: LIVE IT!
Applaud in the blaze of life’s glow

So beautiful!
Thank you, Raani! Glad you like it ❤

19?? That’s two years older than my son.
How’s hubby, Sharla?
What’s the 19?? Did I miss something? Hubby is still not doing well. His temp spiked at 105.8 day before yesterday. Growing cultures (urine, blood, pancreatic fluid) to try and find the bacterial culprit. He has been through so much and one step forward seems to result in two steps backwards:-( I have a group meeting in the morning with the team of doctors. Don’t really know what to expect but any answers are better than none.
Sorry – Joan of Arc The bit at the bottom.
I agree, any answer would be helpful.
Sorry – a wonderful post and stunning photos.
It is my desire to feature more bloggers on my site, especially photography to accompany my poetry. Would you like to be showcased? Please! I will send you the poem and you match its verses with your photos. Of course, you can always give me a theme and I will research the right poem. Think about it 🙂
Thank you Sharla, I would be honoured
Many thanks Alastair! It was my total pleasure to do this with Sharla! Please do stop by sometime to see my site too! – Again, thank you!
Consider yourself added to my list of hundreds. I will apologise that I will be unable to visit your blog on a daily basis. I have hundreds to visit as well as having time for myself
The photos are magnificent!
And – love the words that you found for them 🙂
Thank you, RoSy! Really makes it more personnel than just finding Google images…and, I don’t have to fret copyright issues 🙂

The clock of life is wound but once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.
To lose one’s wealth is sad indeed,
To lose one’s health is more,
To lose one’s soul is such a loss
That no man can restore.
The present only is our own,
So Live, Love, toil with a will
Place no faith in “Tomorrow”
For the clock may then be still.

Such beauty–in words and photos. The fifth photo really reminds me of my island home. Thank you for creating and sharing this post.
WOW! That must be some kind of view from your island home! Another place to visit perhaps? 🙂
Do we both have an invite to come and stay for maybe a day or two? 🙂
Captivatingly beautiful scenery with exquisite poetry to match it–heaven on earth.
