A rainy day in Georgia today reminded me of The Carpenters and the hit tune Rainy Days and Mondays. Playing the tune, watching and listening as the rain pounded the tin roof of the porch invited me to record a brief encounter with the rain on a Georgia afternoon.
Relive your rainy days and Mondays as you listen and revive memories of the days and times of
The Carpenters.
Did you have a Sunny or a Rainy Monday? What about this day perhaps gave you inspiration?
We have same weather here in Belgium!
raining days and nights … sometimes it takes one month … the rain, the rain, the rain …
(btw … last week, sunny week for our artists of KAT … paintings dry quickly on the walls!)
I see sandman coming …
Kindly
Eric
Thank you for the comments, Eric. I forgot about posting this when I sent you the email. Oh, well, sneak preview:>) Mr. Sandman, zzzzzzzzz…
Sunny and low 80s here today, and humid finally left, but it will be back on Wednesday.
Yep! It is the humidlty that is so stifling!
Warm summer rain feels like a blessing. Cold winter rain like we’re having is something to be endured, but Monday feels like the worst day for it!!
Amen to that, Valerie!

Sandy in Minnetonka, MN, and it was sunny and gorgeous all day! I love the sunshine!
Send some my way and I will forward to you the rain! LOL:>)
Sunny all day today but we had rain all last week and some nasty thunderstorms. We have three good days coming up then four more rainy ones. I can’t complain–wish I could send the rain to the midwest so we can all eat this winter. Love that song too.
Now that is something I wish too! It is sad when some areas get soaked when others stay parched!
Bonjour Sharla. Here in the Loire Atlantique, return of the sun and extreme heat for a few days
Bonjour, Gys! We are still in the window of more rain, rain, rain. When the sun does reappear and the three digit temperatures return, we will be praying for rain again. . .ah-h-h-h! so goes the cycle of life:>)
Yes it’s true 🙂
It’s a rainy day in Georgia. But not here in the Desert near Palm Springs 114 degrees today. I would love to be sitting in the coolness of your beautiful bog picture. I just love your blog. All the best, Mary Firmin, author Deadly Pleasures
Mary, I wish I could send some of the rain your way. I really do not like to ever complain about it even when it appears to never cease. Those three digit temperature days WILL be returning and I do not look forward to all the heat!
I remember that song very well. But, it was hot this past Monday here in Texas!
Chief, thank you for stopping by! Hope you became refreshed with the catnip for the day!
I spent that same rainy day in Georgia. Read about my rainy morning on my blog. Hope you can stop by sometime. Thanks for the jolt back in time with the Carpenters!!!
Glad you stopped by and gathered a bit of catnip! I visited your site and left comments. I enjoyed reading your post:>)
