Icons that ultimately shaped a nation
Lives ended in tragedy
Memories live on in admiration

Stand up comedy in side-splitting form
I Love Lucy resonated clowning around
Hearts remained rosy and warm
Life seemed so much simpler then
Bop Shu Bop Shu Bop, newly waxed gym floors, sock hops
Change was left in your pocket
Enough for drive-in movies, popcorn and soda pops
Remember when life was uncomplicated
Friends hung around to help with life’s collisions
The price of gasoline was under a dollar
Mom and Pop made all the decisions

no wonder the ladies has such lovely figures back then! Talk about a workout – no need for gym membership in the 50’s. LOL
That was definitely the era of the wasp waist!
Nothing like a jitterbug to burn calories lol. Sometimes I think these were the best days of my life.
Cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake…burned ALL those calories!
Oh Sharla, what a treat! How I loved dancing in those days – and you had to have a partner who had the same rhythm as you. I could have danced all night – and often did!!
Those were the days when dancing all night meant DANCING all night! LOL:>)

Hello my friend I went today. I am cancer free thank God. I do have a large abdominal hernia, hyaris hernia and diverticulis which I need to antibiotics for. The hernias cannot be fixed as I have too much back damage so the muscles are too weak to fix. Other than that I am great lol.

That is such good news, Chris! My husband has a terrible hernia and we don’t know yet if he can have the surgery. He had 18″ of his colon removed because of the diverticulitis.
Thank you for keeping me up-to-date! BTW I talked to hubby about one day meeting you. He said we may make a trip to Maine next summer for our 29th wedding anniversary. Will definitely keep you posted!
wow I have diverticulitis and right now it is the reason I am on two antibiotics and have not eated anything solid for 2 weeks. Dr said it is very infected. Did he feel better when he had the surgery? I have been hospitalized several times with it.

He did GREAT for many, many years. Only until recently have issues been recurring but we are not so sure it is diverticulitis again. He experienced an inflamed pancreas and has to be real particular about his diet and take a pancreatic enzyme at each meal. All I have to say is he is a man doing a man thing! Get my drift?
