World Press Freedom Day: May 3

Such freedoms are not enjoyed all over the world nor is exercising such freedom always safe.


 Did you know in the past 10 years:

  • Only 1 in 10 cases of crimes against social media producers, journalists, and media workers has led to a conviction.

  • 600+ journalists, social media producers and media workers have been killed while reporting news to the general public.

    Garry was in the line of fire, often literally, for more than 40 years. He made it out alive!

    Most in this country of ours will take their freedoms for granted until one day they wake up to find them gone and wonder why.

    A couple of months ago, If certain people here in Australia, had been able to have their way, we’d now be having everything in the media scrutinized by a “media watchdog.” Including personal blogs.
