Imagination: Pilobolus Dance

[Don’t miss the video!]

“In the world of words, the imagination is one of the forces of nature” (Wallace Stevens).

Imagination_Quote2

Without imagination, creativity would be nothing but a mere shadow…  a shadow without meaning. Yet, we know with each shadow that is cast comes ideas that are spawned out of the shadows themselves. Each shape draws attention as one envisions similarities and differences from one shadow to the next or within each shadow itself. Imagination brings the dark shadows out of the darkness as they dance naked in the moonlight.

Much like the shadow, the details of a silhouette are not seen, only imagined as its shape becomes absorbed in creative motions. A winter tree’s naked branches form a silhouette against the backdrop of moonlight piercing the haziness of a cloudy sky. Should the wind start blowing the branches will surely sway in a rhythmic motion to the music of the night. A gull in flight enhances the view with its own silhouette whose wings appear dipped in silver.

The dance of the shadow and the pose of the silhouette each strike the tip of imagination creating the light for the patterns of beauty to be seen inside and out.

The Only Limit

PushLimits2

There are times when each of us feel we have done all we can do, we can do no more, we have reached our limits. We are tired, absolutely pooped, ready to give up, give in, settle for less.

We feel we have come to our road’s end with no branches leading in a new or different direction, no ‘y’ in the road, only a dead end. But even at the end of a dead-end road, there is something beyond.

The only blockade is that which we allow in our own minds. The voice that says STOP, you can go no further, you have reached your limits. This is the moment when you push through the things blocking your way and forge ahead.

PowerNow, I ask you, Have you reached your limits?”

Goals

The only limit is the one you set yourself!

FollowYourPath

The limit you set
is that of your own
whether high or low
its time will come

Within your limits
new horizons await
inner thoughts
say never too late

Be on the lookout
ever watchful you see
for what lies ahead
is what’s meant to be

Look to tomorrow
unafraid to explore
push your limits
farther than the day before

Cattitude Tip #2

“Gotta get my sweat on. Meow.”

“Gotta get my sweat on. Meow.”

Make sure your cat has TWO 15-minute aerobic workouts –

once in the morning and once in the evening.

Pull a mouse toy on a string to exercise your cat while relaxing with your coffee or sitting in your favorite chair.

Then,

He (she) will chase you out of your favorite chair so he (she) can lounge after the hard workout!

OR Simply exercise together!

Adjust his schedule your schedule to better fit your own his (hers)!

Have you (both) had your workout today?

Better keep up with me! Meow!

“Better keep up with me, Human! Meow!”
