I had this post ready yesterday but decided to save it for this morning. What a surprise when I received a message from Sunni @Surviving Life My Cats. She wrote an article in response to my FWF post. You need to stop by her blog for there is true inspiration to be gathered from her posting. The season is indeed wrapped in the spirit of giving!
Meow-y Christmas!
What a purr-r-r-fect thought
Nothing better than that
Soft, cuddly, loving
The gift of cat!
Sharla,
Love the cat wrap. I posted that video not long ago. We must be on the same page.

Um-m-m-m? Must be because we are avid cat lovers 😆
Love the wrapped gift cat.
To all cat lovers: I need some advice. Two rescue cats were delivered to me over a week ago and they will not come near me. They are hiding and every day I look for them so I can put food down in their general vicinity. Sometimes the food disappears but other times it does not. I love cats! And I want these cats to like me. One of them is like a wild animal. Any suggestions?
Carole,
I’ll ty to help. I’ve had cats all my life and know many people with cats. A friend rescues feral cats and they are quite wild. Patience is the key, especially with a wild cat. Any cat (wild or not) has to get used to you and its new surroundings. It will take a while. I can’t tell you how long because it varies. All you can do is speak in a kind voice and talk to them often, continue putting food down. They will eventually feel safe enough to come out in the open and later to come to you. Don;t push them, but remain patient and friendly.
It may take quite a while for the feral cat to get friendly. Every cat is different. They will sense your love and that you aren’t a threat eventually. You never know what kind of life they had before you got them. Don’t give up because your efforts will pay off.
I hope this helps.

I remember how our cats used to love it after we unwrapped everything. They would dive into the paper like it was a swimming pool. It was so much fun watching them. The dogs like it too, but don’t usually try to kill each ribbon 🙂
That was great! Sharla, I tried to reply to the card you sent from Linked In. I hope you got it!
So cute 🙂
OMG – I couldn’t imagine any other cat being THIS patient! 🙂
