Love’s Presence
The soothing breath of spring
In its light of innocence
Suffuses the meadows
With a hint of tenderness
Nature’s arms embrace
The warmth of the sun
As buds and blossoms
Awaken with the dawn
Within winter’s wake
Fields and forests come alive
Stretching and yawning
As flora and fauna arrive
Freshness of the air
Bares the arrivance
Of new beginnings
In winter’s absence
Lovers solemnly stroll
Arm-in-arm, hand-in-hand
Admiring magical wonders
Within splendor of the land
Beauty of springtime
Void of the bitter cold
Propels love’s presence
Deep down into the soul

Ahhhh. Bambie was my favourite film as a kid. The poem is lovely, Sharla 🙂

[…] Welcome to Spring!. […]
We didn’t have much of a winter here in Northeast Texas. But, the weather has been pleasantly cool these past few days.
Beautiful poem although, of course, we’re on our way into Autumn here.
What a nice way to begin the morning!! We still have snow on the ground here in Massachusetts with word we can expect a little more in the next day or two.
Can you name the man who did the voice for Bambi’s father? I rather pride myself in knowing voices so I confirmed my assessment of the voice I heard on your clip and was correct. It was aPatrick Stewart, “John-Luc Picard” on Star Trek Next Generation fame.
beautiful poem. I liked 🙂
wonderful poem 🙂
Lovely poem. Now if we could only get the season to cooperate here…
Think spring 😉
Beautiful poem! We’re starting out spring with rain and snow mixed. Now if we could just mix up some butterscotch pudding, I would be a happy camper!
Beautiful spring poem! Many hugs! 🙂
You have such a natural way of making a beautiful poem and bringing the reader into it to visualize what you are saying.
