Within the month of March comes the first official day of Spring! Celebration after celebration abounds before during and after the famous St. Patrick’s Day. Of course, signs are already in the picture as Mother Nature’s Delights bring forth sunshine inside and out on the last of the cold wintry days. First buds in some regions of the nation have already begun to appear with speck after speck of green peeping out from the cold, cold ground.

Belay those signs of spring. We in the frozen wastes of New England are not there yet. Not even close. We have about 8 feet of snow on the ground and 100 lb. icicles hanging from the eaves. Sigh. It will come. But it ain’t here yet.
We have our annual St.Patrick’s Day Parade tomorrow when it will be slowing and sleeting all day–that should be fun!
The odd thing is that in Australia the seasons change on the first of the month. So today is the first day of Autumn, odd again because I always think of March, even after 50 years of living in the Southern Hemisphere, as a Spring month! Cheers 🙂 Irina
Today in France, the sun is up and the birds also
Have a good weekend Sharla 🙂
